Our client is seeking a Transport Operator

So what does the role look like?
- Plan transport routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with drivers and subcontractors to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Monitor and manage transport operations to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Utilise transport management systems to track vehicle performance and efficiency.
- Communicate with clients regarding delivery updates and resolve any operational issues.
- Prepare reports on transport activity and performance metrics to support management decisions.
- Assist in implementing cost-effective logistics solutions.

- Proven experience in a similar role within the transport or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of transport regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in transport management software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- A positive attitude and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing transport operations.
