- External: Suppliers, freight companies
**Role overview**: Responsible for the accurate and efficient running of the procurement processes of the business, adherence to the Company procurement procedure and Company financial authorities. Supporting the Purchasing Manager in achievement of best pricing and delivery/supply terms from suppliers. Additional responsibility in conjunction with the Stock Administrator for arrangement of logistics of delivery of goods and monitoring and internal communication of performance thereof. Supporting the Purchasing Manager in monitoring the performance of suppliers including quality and timeliness.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensuring the smooth running of the purchasing activities of TMG and any affiliated companies.
- Liaising with the sales team and project managers to ensure the correct materials are ordered for the optimum delivery date, whilst ensuring that current free stock is used in priority to placing new orders
- Supporting the Purchasing Manager to achieve best price and quality relative to delivery requirements
- Liaising with the Stock administrator to ensure materials are received on time and to the correct quantity and quality
- Liaising with suppliers regarding delivery and quality issues and managing any material returns and replacements at all times keeping the requisitioner of goods and services appraised of any issues and looking for solutions wherever possible
- Work with Finance to resolve any supplier invoicing issues and taking responsibility for resolution with suppliers
- Identification of potential new suppliers of goods and services
- Work with (Finance / Sales) to forecast overseas supply requirements in order and maintain an “efficient” level of inventory for items with long lead times.
- Maintain the inventory of product samples at efficient, effective levels.
- Coordinate with Finance with respect to financial commitments and to agree payment terms
- Develop strong, constructive relationships with internal and external contacts
- Promote and actively further the Company’s values and objectives at all times
**PERSONAL SPECIFICATION**
**Qualifications** **& Training**
- 5 GCSE O Levels including Maths and English
**Experience**
- Experience within procurement processes an advantage
- Knowledge and prior use of SAGE 50 procurement module, or similar, desirable
- Understanding and use of CRM / ERM systems an advantage
- Strong use of Microsoft Office suite + expert in the use of Excel and reporting from databases

**Knowledge**
- Good general level of computing and software skills and comfortable with development and implementation of new systems
