Building Claims Handler
Location: Halifax
- Hybrid working
**Salary**: £26,4000
40 hours per week
12 week shift patterns
8am-5pm/9am-6pm/11am-8pm (only 1 Saturday in 12 weeks)
Note: Training will be 6 weeks full time in office, need to be available for the first 10 weeks on site.
Your role will involve managing a portfolio of home claims from FNOL to conclusion using agreed claims processes and fulfilling claims using our network of suppliers or with a cash settlement. You will work closely with your customers and approved suppliers to progress the claims to a satisfactory conclusion.
Following your induction, your role will predominantly be home based with occasional office working to collaborate with your colleagues.
- Processing home insurance claims from FNOL right the way through to settlement.
- Act as technical authority in the review and resolution of claims to achieve optimum settlement.
- Provide solutions efficiently and professionally, and with empathy.
- Organising and using approved suppliers to ensure repair, replacement and supply of appropriate goods.

**A little about what we are looking for**
- Claims / Home Claims Experience (Ideally Water/Fire experience).
- Able to operate to agreed deadlines.
- Analytical mindset, able to evaluate facts and recommend appropriate decisions.
- Communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ideally Skills and knowledge in the validation of building repair costs, use of scoping technology and schedules of rates.
