An exciting opportunity has arisen following investment into the Thrombectomy service within Stroke This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced allied health professional (AHP) to clinically lead a dynamic multi-professional team that includes Physiotherapists, Dietitians and Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, providing assessment, rehabilitation within the acute hospital.
The successful postholder will also have the opportunity to shape and influence the stroke pathway working with the broader interdisciplinary team based within acute, rehabilitation and community settings.
Therapies have an award-winning Rehabilitation Model led by AHP's which will drive the ongoing development of our services. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The clinical lead will provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team developing and delivering acute stroke care. The job plan includes carrying a complex caseload. The role will also provide AHP leadership across the pathway, working in collaboration with professional leads to align this service with the CAVUHB Rehabilitation Model.
The post holder will work closely in collaboration with professional Clinical Leads to manage the team. The role involves training and education and supporting colleagues beyond the acute team and this role will actively support practice-based education.
There is a significant service development aspect to this role with opportunities for research and audit. Demonstrating value and benefits realisation is crucial to ensure that further expansion of the thrombectomy service is adequately resourced.
