**Job Description** Job Title**: Laboratory Assistant

**Job Type**:Permanent

**Hours**:15-20 hours per week spread out between Monday-Friday (working around 3-3.5 hours per day).

**Salary**: £19,000- £24,000 **Pro-Rata Salary to be agreed for 15-20 hours per week.**

**Job Location**:Glasgow

We are looking to recruit a part-time Laboratory Assistant to join our busy Virology department, working under GLP/GMP.

The Virology department performs cell culture-based assays and activities, under GLP/GMP, which requires very high standards of housekeeping. As part of a team, you will be involved in ensuring that laboratory areas are adequately resourced, that housekeeping tasks are performed to a high standard in a timely manner, and that laboratory waste is removed and autoclaved appropriately.
**Qualifications** We would love to hear from you if you're a recent science graduate, and looking to kick-start your career and grow as a Laboratory technician We are also looking for someone who has the following skills;**

Good communication skills, good attention to detail, and a desire to perform work of a high standard are all essential. Some experience in this role or a related area would be an advantage.
