**We are Hiring: Baker/Cook for Barn Grove Café, Ambleside**

**Location: Grove Farm, Ambleside**

**Hours: Part-time / Full-time considered**

**Pay: Competitive, based on experience**

We are looking for a creative and committed Baker/Cook to join our team - someone who is passionate about baking fresh, homemade food and who fancies working in one of the most breath-taking locations in the Lake District.

**About the role**:
Everything we serve is homemade and fresh and you will be the heart of our café kitchen. From scrumptious cakes and tray bakes, to flaky sausage rolls, hearty pies and seasonal specials, good food served well is at the centre of everything we do.

You will work closely with owner, Anna, and the wider team, to create a welcoming experience for our visitors, whether they are rewarding a day’s hike with a slice of cake, warming up with a freshly cooked Shepherd’s Pie or re-fuelling for one of our wonderful events.

**What we are looking for**:

- A genuine passion for baking and cooking fresh, homemade food
- Creativity with flavours and seasonal ingredients - a willingness to contribute to the menu offering
- Experience in a kitchen, bakery, or café environment (professional or home-based)
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Food hygiene knowledge (Level 2 Food Safety preferred - or willingness to obtain)

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare, cook and bake a variety of dishes - follow recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.49 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
