Warehouse Operative Job Description

**Role**

The role of the Warehouse Operative is to effectively carry out warehouse operations and associated logistics as part of the head office’s support of other business functions.

**Role Specific Responsibilities and Duties**
- Build, picking, packing, and despatch of orders
- Effectively manage goods-in and goods-out
- Effective and safe management of the company’s warehouse
- Handle the Company’s logístical needs, inclusive of tracking shipments and maintaining shipper relationships
- Providing support, knowledge, and advice to customers about products
- Taking ownership and dealing with enquiries

**General Responsibilities and Duties**
- Carry out daily activities in line with the company’s policies, procedures, and processes; updating appropriate records and performing appropriate transactions.
- Support other staff members with administration where required
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Taking equal responsibility in identifying skill and knowledge shortcomings, and suggesting ways to address these shortcomings
- Keeping management informed of any significant issues or changes in any areas in which you are working
- Engage with, and promote the company’s brands through social media platforms for business use

In addition to the main duties there may from time to time also be smaller tasks that will need to be actioned by the Warehouse Operative to support the running of the company, which form a less significant part of the role.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to satisfy our customers’ needs in an efficient and effective manner, and your ability to accurately follow and improve the company’s processes.

**Authorities**
- Respond to customer queries on products and their set pricing.
- Update contact, supplier, and customer data in NetSuite.
- Make inventory movements in NetSuite e.g. bin put-away, bin transfer, location transfer.
- Create, edit, and delete shipping address book entries.
- Order shipper packaging materials.
- Make shipper pick up arrangements.
- Drive company vans for company purposes.
- Build, pick, pack, and invoice customer orders.
- Sign for and receive incoming goods.
- Change to warehouse storage layout in line with team’s goals.

**Salary**: From £22,000.00 per year

- Warehouse experience: 3 years (required)
