We are now looking to recruit a permanent Production Team Leader for our Virtuoso Doors Division to join our team

**Summary**:
Working as part of the Production Management Team you will be responsible for managing the day to day running of Production in the most cost effective and efficient manner. To ensure compliance with health and safety whilst working to a production schedule. In addition, you will be responsible for managing a team.

**Key Skills**:

- To hold Daily Activity Briefings (DAB’s) with all employees in your team.
- To oversee the production process of the team, in liaison with the Production Manager.
- To ensure that planned KPI’s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded, in liaison with the Production Manager.
- To ensure that cost-reducing measures are implemented/upheld in your team.
- To monitor stock to ensure sufficient raw materials are available for production needs and manufactured goods are controlled efficiently to avoid affecting production.
- To monitor compliance with standard operating procedures for all production operations in the assigned area.
- To ensure highest quality of goods are manufactured first time, reducing all wastage.
- To monitor and support continuous improvement activities, implementation of change management and best practices.
- To carry out on-the-job training and supervise performance improvement measures. Ensure all production staff reach their highest potential and optimum performance levels.

**Experience**:

- Experience of managing a team with demonstratable experience of stock management and leading, motivating and managing people related issues throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Well organised, disciplined, and self-motivated, with the capability to balance multiple priorities.
- Customer-focused with a strong emphasis on ‘safety first’, quality, delivery, and cost management.
- Ability to engage staff to enable them to be the best they can.
- Hardworking, motivated with a can-do attitude that will lead a team by example.
- Problem solving and action planning.
- Building effective relationships and influencing change.

**What we offer**:
**Salary**:£12.21ph (£25,396)

**Contract**: Permanent

**Hours**: Monday to Thursday 6.45am - 3.30pm, Friday 6.45am -2pm (Overtime available)

**Location**: Gateshead
