Barista

**Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while following hygiene protocols.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, utilising basic math skills for accurate till management.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other during shifts.

**Qualifications**
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for coffee culture is key.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Strong serving skills with the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours efficiently.
