You should have experience in dealing with the public and excellent customer care skills are essential. An awareness of Health and Safety requirements is essential.

You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy and an HSE First Aid qualification would be an advantage. Other essential qualities include an ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
