**About The Role**:

**_PHS Compliance - Credit Control Team Leader _**
- At PHS Compliance - Warrington, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Control Team Leader. _
- The purpose of the role will be to lead the credit department by making decisions concerning credit limits and acceptable levels of risk and terms of payment to our customers ensuring DSO and Aged targets are set and delivered monthly. _

**_Your key role and responsibilities:_**
- _Determine staffing requirements, recruitment, induction, and training adhere to company policies. _
- _Manage direct reporting team members and set goal/objectives to develop employees, maximising potential, complimented by the monitoring of individual including performance reviews. _
- _Delegate duties to team maximizing available resources. _
- _Managing the ledgers of the team and allocation of workbooks each month. _
- _Report on working capital monthly._
- _Run and manage debt reviews, escalating through weekly debt calls, ‘at risk customers’ or accounts and working with the appropriate teams to ensure all disputes are resolved in a timely manner. _
- _Work with the Finance Business Partner and other team members on debt issues. _
- _Setting up new accounts for the business. _
- _Assess current business processes/systems to identify and implement improvements to maximise operating efficiency. _
- _Establish and maintain controls of the department, formulate department/unit policies and practices. _
- _Controlling and debt exposure and expenses through the direct management of credit terms on the company’s ledgers. _
- _Maintaining strong cash flows through efficient collections, measure using day sales outstanding. _
- _Ensuring an adequate allowance for doubtful accounts is kept by the company. _
- _Monitoring the accounts receivable portfolio for trends and warning signs. _
- _Determine credit ceilings and setting of credit
- rating criteria. _
- _Setting and ensuring compliance with a corporate credit policy. _

- _Proven ability to plan and set priorities for a credit control department._
- _Knowledge of human resource management procedures._

- _Must have advanced Excel skills -Vlookup, pivot tables, formulas, filters and the ability to manage large volumes of data._

**_Competencies desired:_**
- _A solid understanding of the accounts function._
- _At least two years’ experience of leading a Credit Control Team._
- _MICM Institute of Credit Management._
