Main duties and responsibilities

Full understanding of the job sheet

Extract correct information required in order to provide the correct raw material for each job

Material handling - locate and handle raw materials

Ensure machines don’t run out of raw materials e.g. paper, boxes, glue, pallets - this is not exhaustive

**Paper**: ensure correct paper is supplied for each job

**Boxes**: to maintain the correct stock levels at machines

**Raw materials**: to maintain adequate and correct stock levels on machines at all times

Picking and Scanning

Correctly IDC all pallets produced from production area. Any issues to be sorted immediately.

To ensure all pallets are scanned to correct locations. (please note any issues to be reported to your Shift Supervisor immediately).

To understand pick lists and locations on pick lists - correctly scan - troubleshoot or highlight any potential issues.

To pick load sheets accurately and produce the correct paperwork.

FLT’s

Drive all company FLT’s in a safe and competent manner (having achieved all in-house licences)

Waste disposal

Understand the different methods of the disposing of all waste created in manufacturing

Barcode Scanning and Computer System

To have a full understanding of the computerised receipt, movement, location and despatch of all finished goods

To be able to produce correct and accurate delivery notes to accompany the finished goods

Shunting 7.5ton wagon

All pallets produced which need locating in Warehouse 2 to be done by licenced persons.

Loading

When loading/unloading using FLT all pallets, reels etc. to be stacked in an orderly and safe manner.

Bailer Operation

Understand and carry out the bailer operations in a safe and competent manner and have full understanding of replenishing new wire.

Housekeeping

Maintain the warehouse as a clean tidy and safe environment

Pallet Wrapping

Be able to wrap pallets in a safe and competent manner

ISO9001 Paperwork

Be able to carry out all internal paperwork as used in the Warehouse operation

Health & Safety

To work at all times in a safe manner being aware of risks to oneself and colleagues

To work at all times in accordance with the company’s Health & Safety procedures.

Shift Pattern & Hourly Rates

£11 ph

Mon - Friday shift, rotating weekly. One week 6am-2pm shift, following week 2pm-10pm shift & third week 10pm-6am shift.
