**Vacancy for Teaching Assistant at The Norwegian Kindergarten in London**
The Norwegian Kindergarten in London is a registered English Independent School and charity based in Wimbledon. The kindergarten is a nature-based nursery and pre-school offering places for children from 2 to 5 years old. The teaching is bilingual and based on the Norwegian curriculum and pedagogical framework which in every way reflects beliefs, values and traditions shared across all Scandinavian countries.

We are now hiring a Teaching Assistant to further build our profile and develop our childcare services based on what we call the “The Power of Play - the Scandinavian Way”:

- Nature is our playground: We believe that the forest and nature around us is the perfect playground for young children - regardless of weather.

**Job purpose**: The main purpose of the job is to assist the Class Teacher in creating a nurturing environment ensuring good learning opportunities for individual children. We are open during term time.
**Responsible for**: This position includes a specific responsibility for teaching English language and culture to all children in the group.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Qualification in Early years education/childcare level 3 or equivalent experience is preferred
- Strong English language skills is essential
- Teaching experience from a forest school or nature school is a plus
