Working on the relaunch of our flagship entertainment brand, the Social Content Creator will lead and execute video and image content across our key social platforms. They’ll understand what it takes to create engaging content that our audiences keep coming back for, whilst always being full of new ideas. Ideation, production and delivery make up this role, so the Social Content Creator will need to be super organised and have impressive attention to detail. They’ll be a key member of the editorial team and responsible for junior content creators, whilst working closely with social media managers and website editors, so communication and leadership qualities are essential.

With over 85m million followers across our range of titles, we are leading voices in the areas of Gaming, Sport, and Youth Culture within the UK, EU, and the US. Our portfolio of owned and operated titles produce both editorial and branded content as part of the various revenue streams to include advertising and content partnerships. Social Chain Media also offers e-commerce services via the retail shops attached to our media brands. This creates a unique set of service offerings based on the fact that we have touch points at each stage of the consumer journey - all the way from awareness to customer acquisition.

**KEY PROJECTS**
- We are relaunching our flagship entertainment brand this spring/summer, which will be the biggest focus for this role, and an exciting project to be a part of.
- We will be building a new team to run our entertainment brand, with the Social Content Creator leading the ideation and creation of all social content. This includes producing, shooting and editing video content, along with managing junior team members.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Video ideation, including regular repeatable formats that our brand will be known for.
- Pre-production and organising all in-house shoots for our entertainment brand.
- Managing production budgets and regularly reporting back to the Head of Social.
- Managing and mentoring junior content creators and video editors, giving clear feedback and being responsible for the performance of all social content.
- Being the team’s self-shooting producer, who can lead on longer edits and give clear direction to video editors on cut downs.
- Sourcing and managing talent.
- Understanding social platform analytics and using them effectively to create engaging content.
- Creating edit templates for our repeatable formats

**Requirements**:

- A true understanding of what makes a successful social video edit, across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Snap, YouTube and TikTok.
- Ability to edit video content to a high standard, that keeps the viewer watching.
- In-depth knowledge of social platform analytics and how to use them effectively to create engaging content.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior video team members.
- Highly skilled at using video editing Adobe software.
- Highly skilled at using camera and production equipment and directing others on set.
- Budgeting and tracking against targets.
- Talent management and all pre-production skills are a must, this role requires high levels of organisation and planning.
- Be comfortable in a start-up like environment.
- Previous experience working at a social-first publisher.
