Shared Services Manager

Leading British Construction company with an incredible legacy and focus on Employee values has an opening for an Employee Lifeycle Manager, part of their HRSSC (HR Shared Service Centre).
The Employee Life Cycle Manager has responsibility for the management of Core Admin, HR Advisory and Transitions (TUPE Admin) teams, ensuring that a first class administrative and advisory service is provided to their people. Supporting the development andprogression of their people will be a crucial part of this, ensuring that development and succession plans are in place and that 1:2:1 conversations, and interim and end of year performance reviews are carried out.
A key area of this role will be to ensure that ways of working are continuously reviewed with a view to driving simplification and continuous improvement.
Collaboration with other teams within the HRSSC will be essential as the post holder will play an active role in supporting and leading projects that impact the employment lifecycle of their people.
**The role**:
- Overseeing the Employee Lifecycle teams in delivering a first-class service, ensuring SLA's (Service Level Agreements), KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) and critical payroll deadlines are met
- Ensure that our people strategy is embedded within the teams and that all team members are cascaded SMART objectives with interim and end of year performance reviews taking place
- Contribute to the completion of bi-annual Talent Reviews ensuring that we are developing a pipeline of talent and succession planning
- Drive a positive team attitude and contribute to engagement through delivering effective communication and engaging team meetings and briefings
- Support in driving our self-service agenda ensuring that the teams promote the use and also explore opportunities to improve functionality
- Work with the teams to drive process improvements, exploring opportunities to drive efficiencies, simplification and automation
- Build strong relationships with the operational HR teams and seek feedback to help focus our efforts into where we drive improvement
- Play a key role in supporting and leading on projects that support activity within the HRSSC, and the wider businesses
- Work collaboratively with your peer group to explore ways to help the teams within the HRSSC work more effectively together
**What you need**:
- Strong HR background ideally within construction industry
- HR Shared Service background essential
- Previous line management experience within a HR shared service team
- CIPD Level 5/7 (recommended).
- Knowledge of UK legislative and regulatory guidance in relation to industry compliance, particularly in relation to UK employment law.
- High proficiency in using Microsoft office including Word and Excel and experience of working with HR systems.
- Committed to continuous professional development.
- Able to communicate and gain credibility at all levels.
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic and committed to working within the team to effectively support the needs of the business.
Our client supports flexible working. The role will be hybrid, with approximately 2 days in the head offices in Northampton and the reminder remote. The company offers the most generous benefits package alongside a competitive salary.
