We are currently seeking a Locum Ophthalmologist (SPR or Consultant) to join our team at SpaMedica, a leading provider of cataract and YAG laser surgery services. As a locum ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and clinical expertise in cataract and YAG laser surgery.

Job description (only be called for PAC, POC, YAG PAC or YAG POC in a day as per your preference and not for all):
PAC- Cataract Pre Assessment 24 Pre Assessment Patients plus up to 3 emergency Post Operative Patients

POC- Cataract Post Operative 26 Post Operative Patients plus up to 6 emergency Post Operative Patients

YAG PAC- YAG Pre Assessment 26 Pre Assessment Patients plus up to 2 emergency Post Operative Patients

YAG POC- YAG Theatre 40 YAG Laser Patients

We do reduce the first PAC clinic down to 20 plus emergencies for their first shift.

9-5 are the clinic hours (5.30 if the clinic was running late for any reason) and normally 24 patients on a list

All patients will have their VA, IOP, biometry, Optos, OCT, dilate and nurse medical history completed before seeing the doctor.

Job Requirements:
Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)

Relevant experience in cataract and YAG laser surgery

Strong clinical skills and ability to provide high-quality patient care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Working Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (5:30 pm if clinic runs late)

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay rate based on experience
