The ideal Barista can multi-task and take direction well, with an ability to independently manage his or her time and not require much micromanagement. This position also comes with an opportunity to learn new skills - we have a roastery on site, so this is a perfect opportunity to learn to roast with us We sell our coffee beans on site as well as serving them in the coffee shop.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers with a friendly smile, with a focus on building relationships.
- Take and record orders.
- Prepare carefully crafted espresso-based drinks.
- Kitchen skills and knowledge of food and safety guidelines.
- Communicate and work efficiently with colleagues.
- Be responsible, organised and presentable in public for the purpose of representing the company.
- Communicate with customers and learn about their preferences.
- Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for tasks.
- Understand our rules and regulations as a coffee shop.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Deal with difficult customers effectively.
