We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and detail orientated Bookkeeper to work with our management to oversee the organisation's financial operations and strategy on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone seeking a flexible work arrangement while contributing to the financial health and success of our business. As the bookkeeper, you will play a key role in driving financial decisions, ensuring compliance, and optimising financial performance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain and update financial records using Xero and Dext.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in all financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Help create ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ within the business.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- At least 3+ years of bookkeeping experience working within a business rather than just in an accountancy firm.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and standards.
- Experience and Training in the daily use of Xero and Dext.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a flexible schedule.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Freelance
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
