**JOB TITLE**:HEAD OF AUTOMOTIVE

**RESPONSIBLE TO**:GENERAL SALES MANAGER

**JOB PURPOSE**:To develop the Automotive Division to Motor Manufacturers, Importers and RDCs’. To have the ability to prospect and introduce new customers at all levels in the supply chain. To help steer the company through the requirements to become a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier. While providing exceptional customer experience, development of the customer journey and to provide overall vision for the future of the Automotive division.

**SALARY BAND & PACKAGE**:£35-40k + bonus scheme + Company Car

**HOURS**:Monday-Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 4pm.

**HOLIDAY**:22 days + Bank Holidays. Plus additional days for length of service.

**PLACE OF WORK**:K1, Pitfield, Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes, MK11 3LW

**PROFILE**:An Automotive Expert used to dealing with Motor Manufacturers and Importers at all levels. A full understanding of the processes, and have a strong data base to fast track sales. A builder of relationships with a strong desire to prospect and to build a strong division.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- Full understanding of this sector.
- Have great contacts and data base to be able to contact potential customers immediately.
- Motor trade experience.
- Proven track record of prospecting and sales background.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Willing to travel nationwide.
- Experience in people management.
- Ambitious.
- Results driven.
- IT Literate.
- Great communicator.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ø To provide the Automotive division with a vision and a plan to deliver sustainable growth and an exceptional customer experience.

Ø To have full knowledge of the Automotive administrative process.

Ø To be able to guide and recommend the company what is required to be a market success at all levels of the Automotive supply chain at the appropriate time.

Ø To promote the Automotive division through working with the Marketing team on campaigns that set vGroup International and its brands out as a market leader and trusted advisor.

Ø To plan and implement a full plan and budget every year.

Ø Ensure all new customers are on-boarded correctly and autonomously.

Ø To attend and present at the monthly and weekly sales meeting to the sales team and the board.

Ø Ensure all daily and monthly reports are produced within the agreed deadlines, and actioned within the company guidelines.

Ø Recommend and promote products and services to customers regularly, and where appropriate develop new products and services in line with customer requirements.

Ø Update customer and sales information on the company CRM system and grow the database through leads, potential customers and other areas of growth.

Ø To monitor, record and resolve all customer complaints relating to the Automotive sector within agreed KPI’s with route cause solution.

Ø To foster and grow all customers through entertainment, communication and product and service development.

Ø To provide customers with clear and decisive quotes on all requested products and services and to follow quotes up within KPI timelines.

Ø To keep informed in any changes within the automotive market so as to provide expertise and advice to the customer base.

Ø Regularly visit new and existing customers to deliver exceptional customer service and update customers on any business changes.

Ø To grow the division through increased number of customers, penetration and usage in existing customers and through the exploration of new routes into the market.

Ø Working in conjunction with the Automotive Account Executive and Purchasing team to investigate areas to identify new products & services, reduce costs, and improve service and quality through sourcing new suppliers and products.

Ø To assist in the implementation of IT solutions and projects.

Ø To lead in projects and developments that are bespoke solutions for division customers including implementation, feedback and communication inside and outside of the business.

**MANAGEMENT & TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ø Assist in development and promote the culture of continuous improvement, thereby recommending and implementing authorised changes.

Ø To delegate tasks to the relevant team members in line with customer requirements and ensure they are completed within agreed KPI.

Ø Motivate all team members to deliver a high level of commitment to the company and its goals.

Ø Be an escalation point for customer complaints, handle complaints quickly and effectively with a root cause solution.

Ø Comply with Health & Safety regulations at all times.

Ø Maintain good housekeeping of the department including the equipment within it.
