**Senior Technical Support Engineer - SaaS, Virtualisation, Scripting**

**Cambridge - £40,000 - £70,000 + Benefits**

Applause IT are looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer with experience within a SaaS environment, to join a forward thinking and growing global software business.

The successful Senior Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the support of all Saas-hosted solutions for all Digital Safe products. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where independent action and high degree of initiativeis required in resolving problems and developing solutions.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- College degree in technical related field or industry/career equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in a support delivery role or 8 plus years industry/career equivalent experience.
- Advanced level expertise as Subject Matter Expert for assigned focused technologies or products as point of escalation for frontline/backline teams.
- Industry certifications in Windows, Linux, RDBMS, AWS are preferred.
- Scripting skills in perl, bash, python a plus.
- Passion for helping customers succeed.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Expert level diagnosis and problem-solving abilities.
- Time management and critical thinking skills.
- Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrable work ethic and ability to perform under pressure.
