Night Shift Production Manager

We are currentlly assisting a fresh food production company with the recruitment of a night shift manager on a temporary to permanent basis. The company produce and distribute fresh food to a variety of clients across the UK and operate a site in Portsmouth.

The Night Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing production and preparation to a schedule, selecting raw materials and organizing staff work stations and maintaining productivity.

Duties will include motivating shift staff and identifying any additional training needs, upholding company procedures and food hygiene regulations and co-ordinating shift schedules and implementing and identifying changes to add value to the business.Ensuring that production records and monitoring procedures are followed for audit purposes along with accountability and notifying the operations manager of any technical or procedural issues.

Previous experience within a production manager or supervisor role is essential but not necessarily within the food industry and the training for the site will involve working 1 week on the day shift to understand the company and its values and then workingwith the night shift supervisor for a brief period.

This position is working Sunday - Thursday with a shorter shift Friday (Nights) and will be 48hrs per week on a temporary to permanent basis.

There is free parking on site, staff days out and a staff discount on company produce along with the potential to receive a discretionary bonus.
