**Job Description**:
Our client,, require a Senior Payroll Assistant, on an interim basis of up to 6 months.
This role is based in the office 3 days per week, with hybrid working.
The role is renumerated at £12.87 per hour based on a 35 hour working week,

You will have significant experience in payroll administration in order to provide a professional and efficient service to approximately 4,000 salaried employees in addition to a flexible cohort. Working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining accuracy levels is essential. Adopting a proactive approach, you will identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively under the directions of the Payroll Officer and wider Payroll and Pensions team as well as other key stakeholders to implement change.

**Role outline**:

- To help lead and deliver a comprehensive payroll service to the University, ensuring timely and accurate payments, legal compliance, strong controls and in conjunction with the Finance Helpdesk, excellent customer service-
- Responsible for identifying areas for process improvement including the customer experience and engaging with the University community to build knowledge and support on payroll related activities. Assisting with any projects relating to payroll as allocated by the Assistant Payroll Manager
