**Job Title**: Senior Practitioner (Saturdays)
**Location**: Kids Orchard Centre, Lye By-pass, Lye, Stourbridge, DY9 8HA
**Hours**: 5 hours per week, Saturdays 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM
**Salary**: £3,094.31 per year
**Contract Type**: Part-Time
**Qualifications**: Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
**Experience Required**: Minimum 5 years in a supportive role for young people with additional needs; leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

**What You’ll Do**
In this role, you’ll lead our **Family Day Saturday**, a weekly session designed for children, young people, and their parents/carers to connect and engage in a supportive, inclusive space. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- **Session Leadership**: Plan, coordinate, and oversee Saturday sessions, creating a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for families.
- **Activity Planning**: Design and implement engaging, family-friendly activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of young participants.
- **Family Support**: Foster a non-judgmental atmosphere where parents can share experiences, connect with others, and feel supported.
- **Collaborative Planning**: Work closely with the service manager, coordinator, and administrator to ensure each session runs smoothly and is meaningful for all attendees.
- **Young People Advocacy**: Prioritise the voices and choices of young people in all activities, respecting their preferences and promoting independence.
- **Record-Keeping & Evaluation**: Maintain detailed records, gather feedback, and develop case studies to inform future planning and improve service delivery.
- **Relationship Building**: Develop strong connections with young people, families, staff, and professionals to ensure a collaborative, multi-agency approach.
- **Safeguarding**: Uphold the safety and well-being of all children, young people, colleagues, and volunteers.
**What Can You Bring?**
**Experience and Skills**:
- **Expertise in SEND Support**: Substantial experience working with young people with SEND and their families.
- **Family Engagement**: Skilled in providing support and guidance to parents and carers in group settings.
- **Leadership Skills**: Proven ability to supervise and mentor staff, promoting best practices and professional development.
- **Activity Facilitation**: Experience designing and leading group activities tailored to young people’s needs and abilities.
