**Job summary**:
To provide secretarial and administrative support to the 1* Head Futures within the Air Capability Directorate, acting as the interface and initial point of contact when dealing with enquiries from both within HQ Air Command, and the wider MOD.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
**Job description**:
Diary Management. Manage principal's time efficiently and respond quickly to events and changing priorities, by planning ahead and rescheduling commitments when required, keeping stakeholders informed as necessary. Ensure availability of key attendees, book meeting rooms and make conference call arrangements, issue appointments and ensure visitors are booked onto site. Book arrivals and departures interviews when required.
Travel Management. Make all travel and accommodation bookings to meet the requirements of the principal, ensuring value for money and synchronise with other team members.
Events. When requested, assist the principal and the COS with the scheduling and organisation of Team events.
Relationships. Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and the other executive support teams.

You will be self-motivated, highly organised and able to work well within a small team, whilst working collaboratively with the organisation.
Have strong inter-personal skills.
Use sound judgement to make effective decisions.
Work quickly and concisely to meet demanding priorities.
Have the ability to converse effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation.
Always maintain a high level of confidentiality, ensuring all information received by Head Futures is managed and stored appropriately.
