**About us**
We are a friendly, progressive small-animal rehabilitation centre specialising in hydrotherapy for dogs recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions (such as arthritis), or wanting to maintain fitness. Our facility features a hydrotherapy pool, underwater treadmill, and we are looking to expand in the near future.

**The Role**
As a Canine Hydrotherapist Assistant you will support the lead hydrotherapist in delivering effective hydrotherapy sessions, ensuring the comfort, safety and wellbeing of canine clients, and providing excellent customer service to their owners. Typical duties include:

- Assisting dogs into and out of the pool or treadmill, safely handling large and small breeds
- Preparing dogs for sessions (showering, drying, fitting harnesses and drying coats)
- Cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining equipment, ensuring safe water quality and working condition of devices
- Assisting with client communication
- Helping maintain the scheduling diary, booking clients, managing paperwork
- Supporting general centre upkeep

**Person Specification / Requirements**
- A genuine love of working with dogs and commitment to canine welfare
- Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Good communication skills with clients (dog owners) and colleagues
- Reliable, punctual, organised and a works well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and follow protocols for dog safety, hygiene, pool maintenance, water treatment
- Interest in the benefits of hydrotherapy and how it can benefit small animals
- Previous experience in animal care / dog handling is desirable, but not essential
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
- Flexible availability, including possible early mornings and evenings
