We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our team of skilled tradespeople as a Carpenter.

Expectations of the role include the following:

- Completing all carpentry work assigned to a high standard with precision and attention to detail.
- Adhere to company’s Policies and Procedures.
- Work efficiently adhering to time restraints and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, contractors and suppliers.
- Undertake duties with due regard to safeguarding yourself and others around you.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Follow drawings and building plans to meet the needs of the project.
- Install structures and fixtures.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, doorframes and windows.
- Inspect, repair or replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
- Dismantle and demolish particular items.
- Installation of fire doors.

**Communication/Contacts**

The post holder will be required to communicate and have contact with company contract managers.

**General Information for all Posts**

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly, to enable the wider team to meet deadlines. On occasion, this may require the post holder to be able to work outside of normal office hours.

This is an outline job description only and the post holder will be expected to undertake the duties commensurate within the range of the post or any lesser duties as directed by the Company Director.

**Salary**: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

- Christchurch, Dorset: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Joinery: 3 years (preferred)
- Carpentry: 3 years (preferred)
