H2 Consultancy are supporting with the recruitment of a **Production Planner** for a world leading manufacturer based in the heart of **Stoke-on-Trent**.

As the Production Planner you will be reporting into the Production Planning Team leader and will be required to build and maintain key relationships with all departments to ensure that all production requirements are met.

**Main responsibilities of the role will include**:
- To keep constant flow of ware in manufacture in anticipation of and inline with sales demand.
- To coordinate the flow of ware through each department by issuing and maintaining productions plans.
- To control the daily production requirements and assist with any issues/problems that may arise.
- The production of daily reports to monitor progress of items of concern.
- Constantly assess production levels and capacity and to advise best course of action accordingly.
- To assist with the setting of production targets through analysis of sales and manufacturing data.
- Act as a conduit for the sales and supply function and the manufacturing plant providing both with either ex-factory dates for sales or production targets in the case of manufacturing.
- Provide a reporting function for the weekly production planning meeting.
- To update Order Diary daily.
- To monitor stock and inventory movements.
**Experience Required**
Applicants must have a minimum of two years planning or purchasing experience, ideally this will include knowledge of lean manufacturing. You must have excellent PC skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office packages, including Microsoft Dynamics AX.
