Security Platform Engineer

We require a Security Platform Engineer to operate our platforms.

You will be confident, personable, and efficient in dealing with multiple stakeholders, establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with the ability to challenge as and when required. You will be able to manage your own workload and handle numerous workstreams concurrently, and will have experience of obtaining, collating and analysing data from several sources. We are not looking for certifications or years of work experience. We are looking for an individual who has drive to help our businesses stay secure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage, monitor and refine our information security platforms
- Responsible for refining, reporting and suggesting improvements to our platforms and practices
- Revise and develop the platforms to benefit the security framework of the Group
- Perform risk management, risk modelling, identify risk vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring
- Creation of reports, dashboards, metrics for presentation to Senior Management
- Co-ordination with stakeholders, including questioning stakeholders about incidents and build and maintain positive working relationships with them

**Experience**:

- Some experience in Incident Management, response and reporting
- Some experience in security management
- Some knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management as well as TTP's (tactics, techniques and procedures)
- Knowledge of various operating system flavours including but not limited to Windows and Linux.
- Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation
- Very good communication and teamwork skills
- Self motivated with the ability to learn and discover the tools available (training is available)
- Ability to handle critical communication with stakeholders
- Good Analytical skills, Problem solving and Interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge and experience with MS office with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
