We are recruiting support workers who can encourage and enable adults with a learning disability and provide practical and compassionate support in all areas of daily living. Experience in care is not necessary

We are looking for support workers for our respite service in Bexhill. Greenwood has 14 ensuite bedrooms and offers short term breaks with a range of activities both within the building and grounds and out in the community, all 14 bedrooms have en-suite facilities. We have interactive sensory equipment and the latest in assistive technology to enhance the experience of guests staying with us. The service provides a fun holiday experience during guests respite stays and opportunities to meet new friends.
Your role will include; working alongside people to maintain and learn new skills, supporting with activities and providing personal care. A full training program is available to support you in your role - including medication, health and safety, Safeguarding and manual handling training. The opportunity to undertake the Care Certificate is also available.

Coronavirus has been a key learning experience for all services. Applicants would need to have a positive and flexible attitude to working in Adult Social Care. All staff would be required to work across Learning Disability Services when required.
Additional Information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.

We have full time and part time positions available.
The rota is a 6 week rolling rota, the night shifts are-9:30pm-7:30am, staff members are required to be awake all night.There is an additional enhancement per hour for waking hours.
The main duties are
- Health and safety of the building
Supporting guests with their personal care needs overnight
Cleaning tasks
Kitchen tasks
Responsible for the service, with an on call manager contactable for support
Guest recording
Maintaining guests equipment
Contacting emergency services if required/health services.
