**Job Overview**
We’re looking for a motivated **General Assistant** to join our friendly team at **The Old Mill Inn**, an award-winning hotel, bar & restaurant in the heart of Pitlochry.

This varied role involves supporting our kitchen and wider operations team with key back-of-house duties, including kitchen portering, unpacking deliveries, and maintaining high hygiene standards.

**Duties**
- Washing crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Supporting the kitchen team with cleaning and preparation tasks
- Assisting with the receipt, checking, and storage of deliveries
- Ensuring back-of-house areas are clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Emptying bins, maintaining recycling processes, and adhering to food hygiene procedures
- Occasionally supporting front-of-house operations during busy periods

We’re looking for a positive, reliable team player who thrives in a busy hospitality environment.

**Essential attributes**:

- Smart and presentable appearance
- Good spoken English and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

**Desirable attributes**:

- Previous experience in a similar kitchen or hospitality role
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards
