In return, **We are looking for a great cook to compliment the rest of the catering team. You will need to be able to produce home cooked meals to a high standard.**

**Purpose of Position**

To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.

To control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.

**Principal Responsibilities**

To maintain a balanced diet and varied menus.

To be aware of the residents needs and dietary preferences.

To work within the requirements of food safety legislation.

To maintain the kitchen to a clean and hygienic standard as set out in kitchen protocol.

To maintain the kitchen equipment, as specified by respective manufacturers.

To actively contribute in the preparation and cooking of food and the cleaning of the kitchen area.

To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.

Hours vary by Rota basis. 6.5 hr & 7.5 hr Shifts.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

We do a Full induction on start, lateral flow testing and mask wearing in communal areas remains essential part of working in a care home.
