My client is looking for an experienced CAM Programmer for its manufacturing site in Batley.
As a CAM Programmer, you will need to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changes or operational issues.
The role will be office based but requires regular communication with the CNC operators and requires someone with excellent analytical, IT and planning skills to manage the 4 CNC machines they currently have in operation.
- Excellent knowledge of AlphaCAM. Knowledge of Xilog and Maestro would also be advantageous but not essential.
- Positive, friendly and a can-do attitude.
- Very organised approach to work.
- High level of CNC technical knowledge and previous experience in a similar role, preferably within joinery related environment.
- Ability to supervise a small team of CNC machinists.
What you will do
- Work alongside the CAD Technicians and CNC operators on a daily basis to create CAM programs.
- Manage CAM program creation, organisation and any adaptions required across 4 CNC machines.
- Optimise sheet material ready for the beam saw.
- Managing new to business products as they go through the CNC department.
- Manage all aspects of tooling for the CNC department.
- Continuously improving the way in which the company manufacturers items to maximise efficiency.
- Assisting with orders, processing and using the company ERP system where required.
