**Senior Software Tester**
**Barton-Upon-Humber (Remote working Available)**
**£30,000 + Quarterly Bonus**
Cordant People are currently looking for a Senior Software Tester to join the UK’s largest bespoke Kitchen manufacturers. The Senior Test Analyst performs an essential role in the department as they ensure that all IT systems are fit for purpose and workingto specific business requirements.
**What are we looking for?**:

- Iterative software development awareness
- Agile Testing Methodology awareness
- Effective communication of testing plans / progress, both verbally and in writing
- Capability to develop strong working relationships both internal and external
- Analysis of information to identify problems and issues, making effective decisions
- Ability to plan and organise workload efficiently, working to strict deadlines
- Experience of ticketing systems (JIRA specifically beneficial)
- Competence to work alone and within a team structure
- Advanced level of literacy and numeracy
- An above average level of IT competency
- API testing tool experience

Ideal but not essential:

- ISEB Certified Software Tester (Foundation)
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and PHP
- Good knowledge of SQL/MySQL
- Knowledge of Automated Testing and Automation tools

**What will you be doing?**:

- Testing of the systems created / updated as part of the development lifecycle
- Generate documentation where appropriate for various departments and contribute to maintaining Testing scripts as and when required
- Responsible for maintaining the standards and practices set by the Head of Testing across the whole Test Team
- Helping juniors and new starters integrate into the team, as and when required
- Planning and organising testing activities of self and others
- Mentor other less senior Testers on the team
- Peer reviewing completed test runs
- Responsible for ensuring system quality and business confidence throughout feature releases
- Working with system Developers to create usable IT solutions
- Daily interaction within Project teams and stakeholders
- Identification of problems and suggested solutions / remedial actions / workarounds
- Proactive identification of department improvement
