***Primary purpose of the role would be Owning Solutions Design activities for a range of network related products that are either customer-facing or internal, participating in the business success and critical operation of Sky's network.**

Sky's hybrid working policy means work location is split between remote and on-site**.**

***What you'll do**:

- Technical leadership and oversight of detailed analysis, design, subsequent development, and test of an IP address management solution
- Lead timely deliverables with great communication, supporting teams and multi-functional partnering (including network data science, software engineering, delivery, strategy, and architecture)
- Drive design sessions with developers and key stakeholders
- Lead long term technical vision, end-to-end designs and roadmaps for software solutions and their integration with business processes
- Identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities, and then use them to develop appropriate solutions and through collaboration ensure requirements, strategy and approach are understood to deliver the best solution
- Responsible for the incubation of emerging technologies, architectures, and methodologies to understand the opportunities of creating new services or using new technologies

***What you'll bring**:

- BSc / MSc / PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience in software or system architecture and networking
- Translating business/software requirements into technical design blueprints and ability to conduct requirements gathering activities
- Proficiency in telecommunication networks and IP technologies
- Solid knowledge in the following areas:

- Infrastructure: cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- Database management systems: RDBMS, NoSQL systems
- Security: encryption, identity access management, certificates, ACL
- Application: web frameworks, APIs, front-end/back-end technologies
- Data modelling and processing: messaging (message brokers, pub/sub systems), data models, logging
- Best practices: Agile principles, coding standards, SCM flow

Our Brick Lane office is in the heart of the East End of London. It's part of a vibrant and varied community; close to street food, cafes, and shops.

The closest tube station is Aldgate East and Liverpool Street is about a 10-minute walk or you can cycle and lock your bike up in our secure shelter and use our on-site showers.
