Fixed term: 23rd June - 24th August 2025

Bank: hours as required; weekend work involved

**Salary**: Grade 1 BAR £23,912 - £24,676 pro rata _(Starting salary commences at £23,912)_

Location: Student Residences

The purpose of this role is to clean and service rooms throughout the summer school period. During transition weekends, there can be a high volume of departing students and the arrival of new students where quick and efficient turnarounds of rooms are required.

As the successful post holder, your main duties will include cleaning bedrooms including en-suite toilet and showers and kitchens in flats which have been vacated by students or in flats that students are currently living in ensuring your designated area is kept in a clean and hygienic condition.

Your main cleaning responsibilities for the summer school will be to:

- Perform thorough cleaning of student accommodation rooms, including bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas.
- Complete room turnaround tasks within strict timeframes between student check-outs and new arrivals.
- Strip and make beds with fresh linen as part of room preparation.
- Carry out linen changes for occupied rooms as required during summer school stays.
- Deep-clean kitchen appliances, bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces to meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Report maintenance issues, lost property, or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow cleaning schedules and instructions from supervisors, adapting to changing priorities or last-minute room changes.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness despite a fast-paced and physically demanding workload.
- Work both independently and as part of a team during large-scale check-in/check-out days.
- Be flexible with working hours, which may include early starts, evenings, and weekends, depending on turnaround schedules.
