Imports Manager- Clothing

**About the opportunity...** We are recruiting for an Imports Manager to join our Pep&Co Clothing team. Based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall, the role has a flexible working location, allowing you to work from home and the office.

There will also be occasionaltravel to our Pep&Co offices in Watford to work with the wider team.

As a Imports Manager, you will report to Imports and Exports Controller and will be responsible for managing Pep&Co Clothing inbound supply chain operation to ensure timely movement of goods from country of origin through to Poundland UK distribution centres(DC).

We are committed to supporting our colleagues with their development, this role comes with the ability to study an apprenticeship in Supply Chain Bachelor’s Degree level 6.

**What you'll be doing...** As a Imports Manager, your duties will consist of:

- Responsible for the overall management of Pep&Co Clothing stock from the Far East and EU into the UK in line with critical path milestones
- Working closely with the Poundland DC to manage shipments as they arrive into the UK and into Poundland network
- Accountable for air freight conversion, shipment and customs approval process.
- Liaising with internal departments to tackle any problems that might result in delays in custom clearance such documentation and invoice approval
- Cultivating key relationships with import provider to ensure rates are negotiated to ensure budgeted and actual costs align
- Management of Supply Chain Operations Coordinator - overseeing workload and ensuring KPI’s are being achieved

**What you'll need...**:

- Previous Supply Chain Manager experience ideally in the clothing industry
- Previous Exports experience is essential
- Proficient in using standard logistic software - knowledge of Ligentix would desirable
- Strong Commercial planner with the ability to handle of number of projects simultaneously
- Intermediate Excel Skills - advanced is desirable
- Proven analytical skills with excellent communication, both written and verbal.
