Behavioural Support Assistant
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a behavioural management specialist to work within a lovely secondary school in the Merthyr area. This is a full-time position running for the rest of this academic year and available to start ASAP. Your mainresponsibility will be working with students in KS3-KS5 who are on the verge of exclusion from the mainstream educational environment, trying to keep them on the right path and managing challenging behaviour.
**Behavioural Support Overview**:
- Support students on a 1:1 basis with a student exhibiting challenging behaviours
- Support any additional needs this student may have
- Work within a team of support staff
- Take direction from senior management within the school
- Accompany student through the school day from lesson to lesson
- Notice potential triggers and distractions and create a positive learning environment for the student
**Behavioural Support Requirements**:
- Enhanced DBS available on the update service
- Valid registration with the EWC
- Previous experience working with challenging behaviour or supporting vulnerable adults or children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
