The jobholder's primary responsibility will be the checking of work generated by the Asset Servicing team and some knowledge of this technical discipline is preferable but not essential. Due to the nature of the role applicants will need to demonstrate excellentattention to detail.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the identification of relevant corporate activity
- Ensure timely and accurate publication of information to customers
- Liaise with internal and external departments where appropriate with regards to the resolution of outstanding issues ensuring that any issues are raised to line management.
- Act as a point of contact for external clients to ensure client responses are collated and queries are investigated and responded to in a timely manner.
- Monitor operational performance against agreed SLA's and in line with the company's regulatory and statutory service standards
- Periodically revise procedures and ensure they are applied across the team.
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement and drive through change.
- Ensure that all correct control procedures are adhered to and a full audit trail is recorded and maintained at all times.
- Contribute to team development through coaching, training and annual performance evaluation.
- Provide operational support to the Assistant Manager and oversee the successful running of the team.

**Skills, Capabilities and Attributes**
- IOC qualified (if new to the role this must be obtained within 2 years of the appointment)
- Strong control focus with a developed understanding of key risks and controls associated with transaction management.
- Show a high level of commitment, professional work ethic and appreciation of diversity.
- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
- Ensure appropriate prioritisation of daily work and management of capacity and workloads among the team.
- Ability to investigate non-standard exception based queries.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills particularly MS Excel.
