The role will be dynamic, enabling you to participate as a Business Analyst in many projects and programs across the team, both initiative funded and business as usual, in their nature.
Job Purpose:
Currently the focus of the role is around changes required to the Global Markets systems due to the cession of LIBOR benchmark rates. This means delivering solutions that allow Operations and Finance to process instruments as they move to the LIBOR replacementindices.

**Responsibilities**:

- An established process of SDLC is used to deliver the required change. The role is across the complete project life cycle.
- Analysis of the requirements, establishing the technical solution, development, QA and SIT, user testing and deployment generally form this process.
- The heart of the role is coordinating with operations users, system owners and system developers to deliver the above steps.
- Gather the detailed business requirements, to formally document and validate the requirements. This may be coupled with preparing technical specification documents.
- Participate in project meeting routines. This includes preparing for, running and writing up working group calls.
- Oversee development. Ensure all systems are ready for testing as required. Provide regular updates to evidence progress against plan for assigned deliverables.
- Oversee QA and SIT.
- Help to devise test plans and scripts to verify developed software meets the agreed business requirements. Manage testing preparation covering connectivity, user access and environment set up.
- Manage and oversee software testing cycles. This will involve maintaining records of test issues and chairing test management calls where issues are addressed by users and developers.
- Release preparation and management.
- Preparing reporting around progress. This includes four blockers and presenting updates at management calls.
- Level 3 support including out of hours support on a rota basis (evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays)
**Requirements**:

- You are a good team player and collaborative. You will need to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in the UK and at other locations in Singapore, India, New York and Chicago.
- You should also be able to work independently. The role will require you to take information and translate into business requirements.
- You are an enthusiastic learner who looks to develop new and existing technical skills. You will learn how to understand the existing business, document existing and future process flows, identify and prioritize the user requirement, highlighting any risksand issues.
- You have good analytical skills which will be required to develop solutions for complex business requirements.
- You can problem solve by using a variety of skills, both existing and those which can be learnt on the job.
- You have good organizational skills and can handle multiple different tasks at any one time.
- You are a good communicator and can communicate effectively at all levels, including developers, management and business stakeholders.
- You have an innovative mindset. You are not afraid to ask why and have the ability to question established practices, with a view to continuous improvement.
- You are flexible and will be able to work some weekends and Bank Holidays, as required.
