At MWH Treatment we believe that people matter. We know that to build successful, creative teams we need a diverse workforce that can deliver new innovative ways of thinking. We provide an environment where you will have the freedom to develop and grow to your full potential.
MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Planning team with a Graduate 4D Planner, based at our Preston office on our Advance Plus framework.
Seeking a digitally passionate individual with a creative mindset and ability to influence change. With an appreciation of 4D modelling, digital rehearsal facilitation and strong interpersonal skills, the individual will work with delivery teams in the Advance Plus Region. This role is about bridging the gap between engineering and delivery functions through collaborative practices. There will be support from both National and Regional Digital Rehearsal Leads and opportunities to train and develop across the broad spectrum of digital delivery tools.
Implementing Digital Delivery as business as usual is a strategic priority for MWH Treatment. The core Digital Delivery tools are Delivery & Digital Strategy, Visual Project Initiation (including Digital Survey), Data rich 3D models, Collaborative Reviews, Digital Rehearsals, Digital Field Management and Building our Data & Analytics capability. To ensure our regional team have the support needed to integrate these digital tools as business as usual we have a need for a 4D Planner.
The role will cover 2 main aspects
**Rehearsal Technician c. 70% of time**
The individual will be required to develop 4D models utilising Synchro for Digital Rehearsals, linking the model and programme, to provide visualisations. It will be the individual’s responsibility to ensure the programme represents the sequence of works on the project, highlighting the physical and time clashes, flagging any potential health and safety issues. Visualisation outputs will be utilised for weekly lookaheads, used for team briefings, to detailed overviews for Client engagement and externalisation. You will also have a great understanding of construction methodology and logistics, planning techniques and technology integration and data processes.
This will be a significant part of the role; support can be provided in peak times from the Digital Core Team and the 4D planner will work closely with the Regional Rehearsal Lead to support the training of future technicians.
**Rehearsal Facilitator c. 30% of time**
The role will require the individual to act as a rehearsal facilitator, both on specific projects and as a coach to identified resources. The individual will be expected to facilitate rehearsals on specific projects, training will be provided in rehearsal facilitation. The focus of the facilitator is to clarify the strategic delivery intent and stakeholder interfaces. Digital Rehearsals will be held both in a virtual and face to face environment, the individual should be comfortable with travelling to construction sites across the region to realise maximum value.
