**About the role?? **
You will assist in the safeguard of Nominet’s infrastructure, Data and services. Security and resilience are top priorities as Nominet systems are integral to the continued operations of the.UK Internet.You will use your knowledge of the security landscapeand to monitor and mitigate against cyber threats, to provide insight and assurance of Nominet’s security risks.
**The essential bits?? **
You will have experience of analysing data such as system logs, firewall logs, Intrusion detection systems and access logs. Experience of using a SIEM is desirable but not essential eg Splunk or Nessus. You will have experience of security processes includingvulnerability management, cyber threat monitoring and risk management processes, either from a previous positions or education.
**About you and your experience?? **
You will have a strong interest in security and experience with the tools and processes used in an Information Security Management System, for example vulnerability management. You will have good communication skills, a can-do attitude and a willingnessto learn.
This is a team that truly punches above its weight in terms of output, you’ll be joining peers that work in a small collaborative environment, you will be able to demonstrate a level of perseverance and resilience to see tasks through to completion and aproactive way in which to approach challenges.
