**What’s the role?**

As part of our growth plans, we are looking for several Senior Environmental Consultants to join us. On joining us you will enhance the existing environmental consultancy team by providing support to project delivery.

As an Environmental Consultant you will enjoy a varied role as you support, and at times manage, the delivery of Environmental projects to schedule and budget, while meeting client and corporate expectations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end authoring process of material to define and capture environmental management activities. You will also have the opportunity to support senior colleagues with business development pursuits and liaise with clients and end users on both environmental protection and compliance issues.

BMT is an active participant at the cutting edge and you will find opportunities to engage with field leaders at varied technical and scientific conferences.

The BMT Environmental team are engaged in a number of projects in the following areas:

- Flood risk modelling and management;
- Environmental Impact Assessment in the marine energy sector
- Permitting and consenting of offshore industry, from development through to decommissioning;
- H ydrodynamic modelling to support the aquaculture industry.

We are open to flexible working, including the option of remote working, and we can be adaptable on the location of the role too. There may be a requirement to travel to customer sites and to attend meetings, whether on customer sites and/or in BMT offices.

**About you**

Prior experience in at least one of the following areas: Marine Environmental Impact Assessment, offshore consenting and permitting or hydrodynamic modelling would be a significant advantage.

As much of our work is directly customer focused, your effective communication skills and ability to present professionally both verbally and in writing are essential skills for this role.

You will be self-motivated with a proactive approach to continual professional development. We value professional qualifications and professional registration with appropriate bodies, such as the IEMA; and we can provide support, training, and tailored experience in order for you to achieve these, if not already held.
