**About the role**:
**PURPOSE**

Support Area Operations Managers and Regional Operations Directors
Carry out specialist cleans, such as carpet cleaning (training provided)
Cover emergencies, such as absent cleaners
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cover in the event of an emergency
Manage and arrange teams on jobs
Assist with starting up new contracts
Manage a team of around 10 cleaners
Report to an operational director

**SITES**
- Proactively visit sites, spot-checking for cleaning standards, staff attendance, uniforms
- Check cleaning cupboards for stock and place orders as required
- Check cleaners’ attendance for the payroll department and report absences/changes
- Start up new sites - arrange cleaning equipment, supplies, and cleaners
- Meet the staff on site to train them, as directed by your line manager
- Arrange cleaners for one-off cleans and check cleaning standards after work is finished

- Delivering supplies

**REPORTS**
- Sign off one-off wage forms for the payroll department
- Report all staff changes (absence, starters, leavers, etc) to the payroll department
- Attend monthly meetings

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Highly proactive, flexible, enthusiastic, and pragmatic delivery-orientated approach with ‘can do’ attitude
- Excellent planning, organizational and prioritisation skills
- Able to work autonomously, and comfortable with rapid change, as well as working as part of a wider team
- Excellent telephone manner
- IT literate (MAC and PC) - good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer
- Previous cleaning industry experience required (3+ years)
- Excellent presentation skills
- Competent levels of planning and organization
- Numeracy and literacy to a good level
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise
- Good interpersonal skills
- A strong work ethic
- **Full UK driving license (held for minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points)**
