This exciting role is one that involves ensuring patient flow on Beeston, with a focus on working closely with the Nurse -In -Charge to ensure that patients are discharged in a timely manner. This role requires staff to work closely with the multi-professional team on Beeston. The aim of the role is to ensure that all patients are tracked through their ward stay, to ensure timely discharge or transfer to a base ward including any escalations where necessary.

The post holder will work proactively, pre-empting delays where possible, and helping to plan for discharge when a patient is ‘maybe-home’.

Beeston Ward is a 23 bedded unit, taking patients from D57 and B3 with a variety of ailments and complaints. It is a busy environment but a very rewarding one. Key responsibilities of the role include: Working closely with the NIC and other members of the MDT, including the IDT, to ensure that patients are discharged home in a timely manner Being able to effectively communicate with members of the MDT and being able to speak to patients and relatives Using problem solving skills when faced with challenges associated with patient flow and discharges.

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
