Experienced Fettler

**About Us**

We are a well-established [engineering / fabrication / manufacturing] company specialising in **sheet metal fabrication** and precision engineering. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an **experienced Fettler** to join our workshop team.

**Role Overview**

As a **Fettler**, you’ll be responsible for finishing and preparing fabricated metal parts, ensuring every component meets high-quality standards before assembly or dispatch. You’ll work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium in a busy, hands-on environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Fettling, grinding, linishing and deburring fabricated metal components
- Preparing surfaces and removing weld spatter or sharp edges
- Using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment
- Reading and working from fabrication drawings
- Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Assisting welders and fabricators when required
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area

**What We’re Looking For**
- Proven experience as a **Fettler**, **Metal Finisher**, or **Fabrication Operative**:

- Background in **sheet metal** or **fabrication** work
- Ability to use grinders, linishers, and related tools confidently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

**Desirable (Not Essential)**
- Basic welding or fabrication experience
- Forklift licence
- Understanding of quality inspection processes

Pay: £12.75-£14.00 per hour
