An opportunity has arisen for a senior and influential role leading the MBDA FCAS UK Enablers, within the Future Systems FCAS UK Sector.

The focus of this role is to manage the development of changes within MBDA required to radically reduce the development schedule and cost when compared to recent 4th and 5th gen fighter aircraft programmes.

This role is responsible for leading all of the MBDA Enablers for the FCAS programme, as well as the technical management of the MBDA contribution to one of the FCAS Acquisition Programme Work Packages.

A key element of the role is leading all of the transformation inside of MBDA for the FCAS programme. This requires coordination and influencing within the MBDA organisation to align between the FCAS programme transformation and and initiatives inside of MBDA.

**Responsibilities**
- Leadership of the MBDA Technical input to the development of the FCAS Integrated master Schedule (IMS) and development approach
- Lead the MBDA response for the FCAS Acquisition Programme.
- Lead for transformation change initiatives for FCAS within MBDA
- Planning and co-ordinating of facility improvements for project working environment (office spaces, Collaborative Working Environments (CWE), Digital Strategy, shared networks, information exchange facilities)
- Specifically, develop and implement routemaps to communicate the Cases for Change across the range of initiatives
- Support the FCAS Enterprise Transformation working group for the development of benefits realisation plan with DE&S and wider MoD including Dstl, DOSG etc.
- Creating, developing and managing multidisciplinary teams across the FCAS domain in order to deliver the MBDA inputs to FCAS WP3 in conjunction with the FCAS CSE, the FCAS Hd of Technology and the FCAS Hd of Platform Integration.
- Work across MBDA functions to realise benefits and improvement opportunities in support of the FCAS sector
- Creation of relationships with and liaison into wider initiatives across company (Future Systems, Future Portfolio, NEXT, FC/ASW Grand Challenge, QinetiQ / MBDA joint working)
- Creation of relationships and sharing of principles of change

**What are we looking for?**
- Experience of the delivery of change
- A personable, influential communicator with a track record of building and maintaining relationships across a variety of teams and partners, both internal and external and ideally internationally.
- Experience of management of communications and influencing across a complex map of partners
- Relevant experience working and delivering in a complex engineering environment and or a good understanding of the challenges of working with international partners
- Knowledge of the benefits of a range of current trends of change to an engineering organisation. (e.g. Model based approaches, Agile, Digitisation etc)
- Experience of dealing with and proactively managing in an ambiguous environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with partner companies in a complex and demanding programme environment.
- Project management experience in support of the delivery of work packages (Schedule, Cost, Quality, Reporting, Metrics, Process development).
- DV clearance desirable but not essential. Willingness to be DV cleared is essential
