**Job Summary**

We are currently looking to recruit a full time **Nursery Cook** to work Monday to Friday 8.30-17.00 (working times can be adjusted).

Our beautiful, purpose built nursery caters for up to 84 children a day. The nursery benefits from on site parking as well as close local transport links such as Three Bridges train station and the 100 bus route.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Cook age appropriate meals to a high quality ensuring waste is mínimal
- Ensure dietary requirements are catered to and communicated with the teams
- Ensure the kitchen maintains the high standards of cleanliness in line with the Food Standards Agency.
- Ensure stock levels are suitably managed and recorded keeping in line with budget
- Work in partnership with the team and families to promote healthy eating
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
- Work with the team to maintain a positive work environment

**This role will be right for you if**:

- Hold a minimum of level 2 Food and Hygiene (further training can be provided)
- Have experience of catering for variety of dietary requirements
- Experience of Environmental Health inspections/legal bodies and their requirements
- Understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety including COSHH
- Experience of complying with the Safer Food, Better Business regulations and a familiarity of associated paperwork
