**Job Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
- Maintain a well-organized sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking of products.
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable items.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in their roles.
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding phone etiquette and customer service standards.
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally, ensuring satisfaction is achieved.

**Skills**
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably within a grocery store setting.
- Proficiency in basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks, including product placement and display creation.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
- Familiarity with product demos to engage customers effectively.
- Previous supervising experience is beneficial for team leadership roles.

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
