The post holder will contribute to all aspects of the transactional side of the company’s Finance team.

**Responsibilities**
- Handle escalations from suppliers and other company functions on invoice/payment queries.
- Manage invoice queries with relevant buyers and other company functions.
- Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations with reference to queried invoices, pro forma invoices, goods received not invoiced, etc.
- Make recommendations for supplier payment runs.
- Ensure processing of supplier invoices is completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Manage process for onboarding of new supplier accounts.
- Support accounts receivable process as required.
- Assist with completion of VAT returns and other statutory reporting.
- Support delivery of month-end reporting timetable contributing to management accounts and supporting reconciliations.
- Provision of information to internal & external auditors.
- Working with the Transactional Finance Manager, Financial Controller and finance team to drive continuous improvement.
- Support of other finance processes as required.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- At least five years’ experience of working in a company’s Finance/Accounts team.
- Experience in the use of accounting systems.
- Attention to detail
- Able to deal with suppliers and other external contacts professionally and confidently.
- Good communication skills - in person and in writing.
- Comfortable with the use of Microsoft Excel for standard tasks.

**Desirable**
- Accounting Technician qualification
