Job Description: Door Supervisor at Bar Twenty One

Location: Ipswich Town Centre

Position: Door Supervisor

Working Hours: Every Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM till close (with the opportunity for additional hours to cover holidays and sickness)

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Door Supervisor

Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for all Customers and staff by monitoring and managing entry and exit points, conducting regular patrols, and handling any incidents that may arise.
- Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and friendly presence at the entrance, ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Address any customer inquiries or concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Conflict Resolution: Manage and defuse potential conflicts or situations with tact and authority, ensuring any issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

Identification Checks: Verify the age and identification of patrons to ensure compliance with legal requirements for entry.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce the venue’s policies and procedures, including dress code, behaviour standards, and capacity limits.

**Requirements**:

- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Door Supervisor, preferably in a bar or nightclub setting.
- SIA License: Must hold a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisor license.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Physical Fitness: Good physical condition with the ability to stand for long periods and handle physical confrontations if necessary.
- Professionalism: Strong sense of professionalism and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work additional hours to cover holidays and sickness as needed.
